No Electricity

But the office has plenty, while we sit in our homes, dark.

Above photos proving there is electric service here, as well as a video below where you can hear the AC in the office hum.

The video above is from last winter, when all you could hear at night was the roaring of the 16 unpermitted diesel generators. My carbon monoxide detector would go off so often I finally took the batteries out. These monster generators only supplied lights for the camp, no individual power. That has never been supplied in the camp’s two-year operation.

However, those (except one or two?) were hauled off (due to a clean air act lawsuit) and these solar ones put in which frankly, don’t put out enough light for me or the other women out here to feel safe out here in this remote location.

A dozen or so solar generators and one (or two?) diesel generators provide overhead lights at night (below). No personal use.

Nov 12, 2023 (above photo showing one of the diesel generators that was removed later) which meant loss of the comfort of lights at night for that row of RVs. It is almost completely dark there now at night. See video below.

There’s a thing called a “charging station” holding a microwave and also where people (with no cover from elements or a place to sit) can charge their devices or a battery pack. The shower plugs into it. So there IS power to the site, just not shared with us except as shown below.

…now I am going to show you something more interesting, a series of photos of an earlier contractor, Phoenix Electric, installing lots of equipment that never was used because City didn’t “get” permits for it.

Fake work but very real release of toxic soil. Again and again.

First playlist of Oct 2022 digging that produced nothing. This second roll of even more super-short videos set in a playlist so they roll from July 24, 2023 when digging right next to my RV went on until Aug 8, 2023. It was very distressful. The first photo below shows that nothing is attached to the 3 extremely tall poles installed that day.

Progress? On Dec 1, 2023 a power box was installed.

Digging in this toxic soil, not once but twice, and all for no purpose The to take money. Without any electric or showers provided, we and our animals were coated with dirt for no profit except to the contractor.

The first set (below) I took two days ago, Nov 26, 2023 and as they roll down they regress to when I first entered this hellscape, Aug 9, 2022. The intentional backwards roll is to show you nothing being done. This is the extra parcel the City keeps bringing up in meetings saying they are developing. NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

So yes, months of more photos of how nothing has happened in months, including the installation of the three (3) deluxe shower trailers that have been sitting unused/ not hooked up since Oct 2022.

Also double fencing to protect the super-thick copper wire, creating an absolute hardship for my disabled self to have to walk all the way around to get to my car, not to mention the fire hazard it produced in here. Especially since there is no fire suppression system in place.

All way back to Oct 2022…again Feb 2023…more July 2023…lots and lots of digging out here but no electricity happens for people in RV, only at the office.

Currently what it’s like with only solar generators for overhead lights, but against the rules, about 8 or 9 older, personal generators run at night. That’s what you hear. I have a solar set-up, but many out here have to use the charging station. I have occasionally. Thats why I know if too many things are plugged in, it won’t work. Photographed on Dec 12, 2023.

UPDATE: Dec 7, 2023 this monster was delivered by Phoenix Electric, same company coming out all year, doing the digging that only releases the toxic dirt but never actually produces an electric hook-up. This isn’t rocket science.
